artist's statement

I’m a self-taught artist who intuitively paints what my heart desires to express. From working through trauma to celebrating life, I find comfort from what has been spoken from within me, “All is perfect, there are no mistakes.” With each brush stroke or palette knife application comes freedom and a transference of truth that emits beautiful and raw intention. I play with a symphony of colors upon the canvas as I listen to the art unfold. The art has a life of its own and I respect it and allow it to form as it wills.

My preferred media are oil on canvas and acrylic on canvas. Gestural character, irregular arrangement of texture, and ethereal images are common elements found in my paintings.

I see painting as an exercise in self-trust and self-discovery. Inspiration visits by way of communion with the Divine Most High, benevolent angelic beings, spiritual contemplation, and nature. While working, I often go into a trance. I become caught up in listening, seeing, and feeling utterances, visions, and vibrations that encircle round about me, inside of me, and through me. I devote my efforts to passionately cultivating what yearns to be expressed from within and from subtle realms. I don’t approach creating a work of art with a specific aesthetic intention; I submit myself to the unseen with wondrous expectation. The translation of this experience faithfully materializes.  

I intend for my artwork to be an expression of Love to the world and remarkably enlighten the souls of those who experience it in a uniquely personal way.
